With 1.4 million people, the city of Daejeon is the fifth largest city in Korea, and is growing into an important transport hub of communication, technology and education. Only two hours south of Seoul, Daejeon offers a less crowded yet still diverse area of neighborhoods. 

Since Expo ’93, Daejeon has been promoted as the science and technology capital of Korea.
